What’s one thing that’s a must any time you head out of the house with children? I’m sure a lot of things just came to your mind, but I’m talking about convenience and I know you’d agree. Running errands or shopping with little ones can be quite the chore, to say the least, right? I need fast, easy, and efficient. So wouldn’t ya know, I love convenience stores! They’re small and quick–in and out!
One of the other “musts” that may have come to your mind when out shopping with little ones is snacks! Especially if you’re headed out for a big day and lots of errands, you better have snacks to hold over your little one and prevent a possible meltdown.
So now we’ve got two great reasons for convenience store shopping with children: they’re fast and easy and they’re full of snacks.
We’re a pretty healthy family and don’t like to buy lots of snacks or junk food, but no worries–you can find some pretty good items at convenience stores like gas stations. Crackers, pretzels, sandwiches, water, milk…
Most will have special deals, too, so you can save money. Like BOGO or something like “buy 3 for $5.” And you can definitely make it fun for the kids, like the quick stop is a special trip just for them! Give them a couple of options and let them pick out the snack that they would like. Now you’ve got a happy mom that saved time and money and a happy kid that feels special and won’t get hungry. Happy kid = happy mom = happy kid = happy mom. Ahhh, wonderful how it all works out like that
